About SevenTrading
SevenTrading is a public trading journal dedicated to documenting the process of learning and improving in financial markets. The website focuses on trading as a discipline, with posts that record real trades, analysis, and observations across multiple asset classes, including stocks, options, and occasionally cryptocurrencies.
Rather than emphasizing predictions or short-term outcomes, the site concentrates on the decision-making process behind each trade—how positions are planned, executed, managed, and reviewed over time. By consistently documenting trading activity, SevenTrading aims to create a structured record that reveals patterns, mistakes, and improvements that naturally emerge through experience.
The site places particular emphasis on options trading strategies and the practical use of professional trading tools. Many posts explore how traders manage positions through techniques such as rolling options, selling cash-secured puts, covered call strategies, and managing positions near option expiration.
The goal of SevenTrading is simple: document the process of learning the markets openly so that others who are starting the same journey can see what the process actually looks like over time.
About the Author
Hi, I’m Ricky, the creator of SevenTrading. This website was started as a public journal to document the process of learning financial markets, especially options trading. Like many traders, the journey began with curiosity and very little practical knowledge. Instead of pretending to be an expert, the goal here is to learn openly, record real decisions, and share the lessons that come from both winning and losing trades.
Academically, the background behind this project includes two completed master’s degrees, with current graduate work focused on finance and financial markets. This academic training provides a structured framework for analyzing markets, evaluating risk, and studying patterns in trading behavior over time.
Education:
• MBA (Master of Business Administration)
• MSBA (Master of Science in Business Analytics)
• MSF Cert (Graduate studies currently focused on Finance)
SevenTrading exists because trading options is a lifelong skill. Markets evolve, strategies adapt, and learning never truly stops. This site documents that process in real time, creating a transparent record of how a trader develops experience, discipline, and decision-making ability over years in the market.
If you’re learning options trading, studying strategies, or simply curious about how real trades unfold over time, you’re in the right place.
